The first maternity session for the year was Sakiko, she reached out to me just before the lockdown to have her maternity session done. I am so blessed to be the one getting to capture her beautiful body and journey to become a mother for the first time.

I am amazed at how relaxed and calm she was, anything from how she feels and to labour she said that I am sure it will be fine, I don’t have anything to compare it to so I am not worried. It’s true we just have to follow our body and do our best. Our body is after all designed to give birth and we are lucky to live in the part of the world where healthcare is fantastic.

We had a wonderful session that we started up in my studio and then took a short little walk into the park and captured some outdoor photos for her. My studio is just a few meters away from a big park and golf course with a lot of green areas and places to photograph at. I can’t wait for the spring to come along and be able to go out and shoot there more often.

Colour or Black and white, which is your favourite?

Do you see the ute curls? I love Martin’s curls. The most interesting is that his parents aren’t blond at all. It has come from further back genes in the family.

It was worth the wait and the nap. Martin came into the studio with a grumpy mood and wasn’t too happy to have photos taken. This can happen of course, he is the boss of my work, if he cries and clings to mum after a few tries to capture anything nice, it’s time to rethink. After a few minutes of talk and finding out that he woke up very early that morning. Which has turned the schedule around for him and he was now tired earlier than normal. We decided to have mum feed him and get him to sleep for an half an hour.

I am very glad that we decided to give him a nap because wow it did wonders, he sat down and tasted the cake and was very concentrated and we only had a few smiles but it doesn’t always need a big smile to make the photos come out good. He did so well in the end and the parents were so delighted and happy that it turned out well in the end.

I always recommend for parents to stay as calm as they can because the child will sense your stress or anxiety. A calm mum equals a calm baby they say. At least for the most of the time.

Super cute little Imaan, who did so well during the shoot. We managed to capture some very special images that his parents will adore forever and ever, which is my goal. The beauty of images and it’s memories and they are worth so much for us. Make sure to keep them safe and don’t let them get dusty on only a USB stick make sure to buy a wall frame and hang them up in your home to see everyday. It will make it so much more powerful.

We went for a simple look of white and solid blues, that would go well in their home and to keep the focus on Imaan. I am very happy with how they turned out. He had the most gorgeous hair and was for the most part very relaxed. I love the simplicity in simple colours. We didn’t use that many props this session which is fine, there is no need to use loads of props, even if I love all my props.

Cake smash sneak peek here we go, I know we are going into a new lock down and yes I am closing my studio on Thursday so I will be sharing ma latest work and I do have a few left to retouch and give some love to and share with you guys.

I wanted to say that if you have a baby that will turn one in November and wants a cake smash session I am taking bookings for December and forward and are hoping that it will happen and the lock down won’t be longer than 4 weeks, fingers crossed. If you are having a baby in November I am booking your due date in and we are hoping that we will be able to shoot your little baby early days in December. They might be a few days older then what we normally would like. There is always a way of capturing cute photos even if they are a bit older so don’t hesitate to book in your due date we will make it happen. Keep hope up and fingers crossed.

Happy New Year from Bumblebee Photography to you and your family!

Thank you for this year and all the support and all new and old clients coming to me and trusting and wanting my service. I am so grateful for all the support and love and I so love my work and can’t wait to next year and be able to grow more and get bigger. After a year with a move of country and rebranding the business I am now more then ready to make it grow and make memories for you and your family.

The little cute baby boy below is Louie a little boy who came with his parents to my studio for a newborn session they got as a gift. I love when friends and family books a session as a gift, it’s such a great gift and so appreciated. Louie is the first for his parents and are so loved and he was a little surprise for him. He did so well during the session and we got some magical images for them to love forever and share with their friends and family. I always recommend to order wall frames and get the images up on your walls and not only stuck on a usb stick or your Facebook.
The feeling of framing them up on your wall and see them daily and adore them daily is priceless. It makes such a difference and even for your child growing up seeing these lovely images it’s so nice. I am sure that there will be questions regarding the images such as is that me? How old was I? Where did you do this? Oh I was so cute?

Framing the images up is so important in my opinion.

Merry Christmas to you and your family. Let me share a few images from a newborn session. His mother came in with him for a newborn session in my studio. We had a great time and the rest of the family came closer to the end of the session to wrap up with some sibling and family photos. Everyone did so well and was very patience. I had the pleasure to getting to capture all their children newborn photos and I am so happy about it and you can see that they so look alike which is so much fun.

A newborn session is such a special session, it’s so much love and happiness and of course tired parents, but that’s fine too. Everyone did so good and all I can do is wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I am offering Cake Smash Photography Sessions in September for only £95 including 10 standard prints and small digital images for social media. Cake, decorations, my time, knowledge and retouching and delivery is all included. Limited spaces so be quick. Why am I offering something so cheap? Here we go better late than never, here are the best photos from our session with Kassius. One of the cutest little boys. We did a home session in the comfort of his home. We set it up very simple with help of his sofa instead of a bean bag and with a breastfeeding pillow and the blankets that I had with me. I do sometimes us what you have and sometime I do bring the bean bag and stand and all that. It all depends on how much space you got in your home. Kassius did so good and slept so nicely, made my work very easy and fun.

We will together plan it our so I don’t bring to much or leaving something that you would like me to bring. I got a lot of props to choose from. We will make sure to make it perfect for you and your little one. I got my studio in West London in Greenford with very easy access with bus, there is parking on the street. My studio is a home studio so its in a very homely feel with good natural lighting and space. There is space and toys to play with for siblings if they come along. I will always offer some drinks and something to snack on, both healthy and unhealthy. If you are allergic to anything please let me know and I will make sure we keep that far away.

Todays model was a cute little two weeks old Kassius. Oh I can really say that I feel in love this little baby boy did so good. He didn’t even poo on my blankets and he slept so nicely. Of course he made a little noises and snored for us as well. His beautiful mum was so calm and nice which helped a lot. One of the worst things that can happen is that a parent is so nervous or stressed so the baby can feel it and make them unsettled. So please always stay calm. Kassius mum Nathalie did so well and I can’t be more thankful for that.

We had a wonderful time at the comfort of her home, where I seted up in her living room with a few things and blankets in different colours to chose from. It was a really nice time and some good chatting. Thank you Kassius for being a good little baby model. The rest will come in a few days, I got to give the images some love. x

Elle and her wonderful family came out to Brent Lodge park where we captured some wonderful maternity photos. We had a few conversations to plan this session out so the clothing and time where perfect. She borrowed one of the dresses that I got in my studio. It’s a dress that I love and of course would love you to borrow when you are coming for your session with me. Its perfect even if you are pregnant or not. I know you might be thinking how can I borrow it? It might not fit me, I will tell you that this dress is a size uk 14 and Elle who is a small size I would say she is a uk 6 she had it and you probably wonder how?! Safety pins are the saviour the pins that can make it fit every women that wants to borrow it.

We met up at the parking lot and took the walk towards the park, while we where walking the clouds decided to sprinkle a few drops of rain, which of course got me a bit worried. We where lucky enough that it was only a few sprinkles nothing more. We had the perfect day with cloudy sky and good soft light. We went to a few of my favourite places in the park, where we captured the whole family and also Elle by herself. Very important to get those beautiful selfish photos that you will admire for many years to come and look back at. Admire how incredible your body can be and that you have created new life. We women need to love our bodies more and I hope that the session will make you feel even better about yourself. We all are beautiful.

But back to our day, we had a really good day it took a little longer then an hour which is normal. We had some lovely conversations and laughs while I captured some photos. I am so thankful for that Elle and he family wanted to book with me and that the shoot went so smooth and perfect.

Färger ska det ju vara, denna gång lite färger som det inte alltid brukar vara, men färger som jag väldigt mycket tycker om. Smash the cake fotograferingen med Niklas gick väldigt bra även fast att han i början var lite ledsen och blyg. Men efter en stund med lite hjälp av mamma och pappa så fick det tillslut fart på det kladdiga.

Men som i vanlig ordning så började vi med ett par familje bilder och vidare till att dekorera och göra i ordning studion för en cake smash fotografering. Brukar gärna göra detta med föräldrarna då det blir som de vill ha det då. Jag lägger alltid fram alla dekoration på ett långt bord jag har där föräldrarna kan i lugn och ro titta igenom och välja färger och vilka saker de vill ha. Ibland får man hänga upp och sedan kanske ta bort och byta till något annat. Men viktigt för mig är att kunden är nöjd med dekorationen och hur det är uppsatt. De är ju deras bilder i slutändan så otroligt viktigt att det blir bra.

Niklas fotograferade jag när han var nyfödd och efter ett år så kommer han in i studion större men lika söt. Men han är en liten pojke som behöver lite tid innan han blir varm i kläderna och vågar ta för sig och så kan det vara ibland och därav har jag alltid två timmar på dessa fotograferingar även fast att det ibland bara tar en timma beroende på barn. Men Niklas var duktig som tog sig igenom detta med leenden på slutet och ett mysigt bad som han tyckte väldigt mycket om. Då han har känslig hy så får han inte bada så ofta så detta var otroligt kul men oj vad ledsen han blev när det väl var över. Han fyllde hela studion med sitt skrik. Men men så kan det gå och jag förstår helt varför han skrek, bada är ju bara för roligt.

Det var väldigt kul att få träffa Niklas igen efter ett år och få se hur denna lilla nyfödda bebis hade vuxit och formats. Niklas ögon är ju så fina och han kommer att charma många flickor i framtiden, det kan jag lova. Men är så tacksam för att få fångat dessa bilder och att få dela de med er.
